Virginie and Yves's place
On the Flaya ridge in Yvoir: a living, evolving food forest where wildlife, plants and people coexist in harmony, between food-producing growing and sharing.
Virginie and Yves’s place
Virginie and Yves dream of a lush Eden on the Flaya ridge — a place for renewal, wellbeing and sharing. Their vision is that of a food forest: a productive space where wildlife, plants and people coexist in harmony.
Their garden is a concentration of biodiversity, a thousand-coloured picture that renews itself with the seasons. Sweet woodruff, wild hyacinth, wild strawberries, evening primrose are just some of the plant treasures scattered across this living tableau. Tomatoes, planted amid the flowers, reveal a renewed vision of the vegetable patch — both productive and beautiful.
Virginie and Yves dream of spaces that are easy to maintain and that invite strolling and discovery. Paths wind between perennial growing areas and quiet corners, offering surprising views over the garden and the valley. A small private garden is planned for the studio — a haven of peace, sheltered from view.
The garden is punctuated by elements that enrich the sensory experience. A circular firepit invites sharing and conviviality, a greenhouse offers a dedicated space for tender plants, and a reed-bed pond and pool bring an aquatic dimension to the garden. The chicken coop, with its run for the hens, is a living spectacle that delights young and old alike.
Virginie and Yves’s vision is that of a living, evolving garden that tells a story — their story. A garden where every plant, every element has its place and contributes to a harmonious, inspiring whole. A garden that’s an invitation to contemplation, discovery and sharing.
