Terms & conditions for courses

Last updated: 27 March 2025

Registration via our website semisto.org

Paying online automatically registers you for the program.

Registration via a registration form

Applicants submit a form by email. Semisto confirms registration in the order requests are received. Payment by bank transfer must be made within 5 days of confirmation, failing which the spot may be released. The full balance must be paid at least 30 days before the start date. For late registrations (less than 30 days before), the full fee is due immediately. Failure to pay the balance constitutes a cancellation.

The program runs over 15 sessions and requires full commitment to maintain group cohesion. Postponements are possible in the event of a serious, justified unforeseen circumstance.

Absence

No refund will be given if you need to miss part or all of a course for personal or medical reasons.

Cancellations

Refund timelines vary depending on when you cancel:

  • More than 90 days before: full refund
  • Between 90 and 14 days before: 50% of the amount is retained
  • Less than 14 days before: no refund, unless a third party takes over the spot before the start date

By registering, you commit to paying for the course in full, even if you stop before the end. If Semisto cancels due to insufficient enrolment, the refund is full, with no further compensation.

Postponing a course due to a major impediment

Mandatory conditions: all fees must already be paid in full; a candidate on the waiting list takes over the spot; availability is confirmed for the following session.

Financial aspects: any price difference must be paid; no refund if the spot is not taken over.

Terms: only one postponement is allowed; a written request is required at least 48 hours before the start date; approval by Semisto is mandatory.

If postponement isn’t possible, the general cancellation terms apply.

Payments

Bank transfers should be made out to “Semisto ASBL”: IBAN BE72 5230 8143 5316, BIC TRIOBEBB. The payment reference must include the participant’s name and course details. Online payments use Stripe via Punchpass and Tally, with no banking data shared with Semisto. All payments are made by bank transfer or through our website; no cheques or cash.

Changes

The team does its best to stick to the announced program, but adjustments may be necessary (weather, etc.). Last-minute changes to instructors will be communicated promptly.

Use of personal data

Semisto complies with applicable data protection regulations. Contact details are collected for internal use and are not shared with third parties, except for carpooling: a list (first name, last name, email, mobile number, departure location) may then be distributed. Participants may ask to be removed from this list.

Insurance

Personal liability insurance is recommended for the duration of the course. Semisto holds public liability insurance, which does not cover damage caused by participants.

Living together

Care for nature, respect for human rights, open-mindedness and kindness are the pillars of our shared living framework. Semisto may send home one or more participants in the event of a serious issue; a pro-rata refund for days not attended will be paid, with no further compensation.

Image rights

Photos and videos may be taken by Semisto or its representatives. Semisto reserves the right to publish these images for its communications. Participants who wish to be excluded should inform the organisers; participants are never identified by name on social media. Participants may take photos for private use, with the other participants’ agreement.

Intellectual property

You agree not to share Semisto course content (written or audiovisual materials) with third parties without prior written authorisation, and not to share your access credentials.

Disputes

Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the Belgian courts at Semisto’s registered office. Belgian law, in the French language, applies. Electronic evidence is accepted. No departure from these terms is permitted without prior written agreement.
